Physical Therapist (PT)– Multi-Site Support - $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Job Summary:

As a Float Physical Therapist, you’ll bring clinical expertise, compassion, and adaptability to every interaction. You’ll evaluate, treat, and support seniors to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their quality of life. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on care, variety in their day, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team.

The Float Physical Therapist will travel to various centers within the LIFE-NWPA service area to provide coverage and support. Responsibilities include filling in for open PT positions, covering staff absences, and assisting centers with higher participant needs. Travel schedules will be planned in advance whenever possible; however, assignments may change based on participant care demands and organizational needs.

Compensation:

  • $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!
  • Eligible for IDT Incentive Plan, up to $1,800 paid quarterly.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Seventy cents per mile.

Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Travel between centers is required. Specific work hours and travel schedules will be established in collaboration with your supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Deliver therapeutic exercises, activities, and mobility training to improve function.
  • Assess Participant needs and recommend equipment such as walkers, orthotics, or prosthetics.
  • Document all treatments and progress accurately in medical records.
  • Travel to centers, Participant homes, and other care settings as needed.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support Participant goals and outcomes.
  • Educate caregivers, families, and staff on safe mobility and care techniques.
  • Support restorative and wellness programs, including group exercise when appropriate
  • Communicate changes in Participant condition to the care team
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants as required.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with Participants, families, and care partners.

Education and Experience:

  • Must hold a current PT license within the state you are practicing in.

  • Experience working with the frail or elderly population is a plus — but not required. We’ll provide hands-on training and mentoring to help you grow!

  • Demonstrate clinical competency with the geriatric population.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.

  • Is subject to lifting, carrying, and supporting participants and equipment.

  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.

  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
